– Ubisoft Montreal VP of Creative, Lionel Raynaud Ubisoft Montreal’s painterly downloadable RPG Child of Light caught a lot of attention from players when it debuted — and apparently has turned the heads of the studio’s execs, too. The team behind the game — minus creative director Patrick Plourde, who has moved on to a new project — will be sticking together inside the studio, a new interview with CVG reveals. And the company is planning to take more chances on the passion projects of its “proven” creators, it says. “It’s not something I will ever impose, but if our proven creatives feel they want to do something personal then it’s great to consider that,” says Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat.
